PINK TEA is popularly known as “NUN CHAI” in Kashmir. Kashmiri “Nun Chai”, is a traditional tea in Kashmir and is very popular for it’s taste in the valley. This tea is pink in colour and has a distinct taste to it, very different from the teas we usually have. The whole process of making NUN CHAI is complex, due to manual preparation. The new generation nowadays is unaware about the proper preparation steps of the pink tea. Modern fast era solution to this problem is pink tea vending machine that will keep the traditional taste of the pink tea intact and preserve culture. The main aim for development of an automatic pink tea vending machine is that it should be capable of dispensing pink tea with less complexity and storing the tea extract separately for the further use to reduce the preparation time. The proposed prototype will be implemented around a microcontroller based system to control the preparation, dispensing and the quality control process and ensure the safety of the machine. The automatic pink tea vending machine is comprised of a tea leave dispenser, a salt dispenser, a baking soda dispenser, a water container, a tea preparing container, a milk container, a tea extract container, and a micro controller that will control the timing of material required to prepare tea based on the input provided by the user interface. The tea leave dispenser is configured to store and dispense tea leaves into the tea preparing container through a first Automatic Pink Tea Vending Machine 11 spiral conveyor. The salt dispenser is configured to store and dispense salt into the tea preparing container through a second spiral conveyor. The baking soda dispenser is configured to store and dispense baking soda into the tea preparing container through a third spiral conveyor. Each of the tea leave dispenser, a salt dispenser, and a baking soda dispenser are having motors to close the openings of the tea leave dispenser, a salt dispenser, and a baking soda dispenser. The water container is configured to dispense water into the tea preparing container though a first solenoid valve. The first solenoid valve is non-return check valve which prevents backflow of water or reverse flow of water in to the water container. The milk container is configured to store and dispense milk into the tea preparing container through a second solenoid valve. The second solenoid valve is arranged between the milk container and the tea preparing container. The second solenoid valve is a gravity solenoid valve. The tea extract container is configured to store a tea extract while preparing the tea in the tea preparing container. Further, a third solenoid valve is arranged between the tea extract container and the tea preparing container. The tea extract container comprises of a level sensor and a pressure release valve. The level sensor is configured to measure the tea extract mixture level present inside the tea extract container. The pressure release valve is configured to release the pressure from the tea extract container to prevent any damage to the tea extract container.
